Student: How do I upload media to the Site Library?
By default, students cannot upload media to the site library. However, the instructor can grant students uploading permission allowing them to upload media to the Site Library.
To add media to the Site Library, click on Media Gallery in the left tool panel.
Select the media file on your computer, then click Open (or Select).
Once uploaded (which may take some time depending on the size of the file), click Next
Edit Name, Tags or Description, then click Next
When the media is completely processed, click Finish (or Add More Media).
Example: Student Uploaded media in Site Library.
NOTE; When a student uploads media to the Site Library, the video is by default "Private". That is, only the instructor and the individual student can view the media.
If the instructor wants students to upload media to the Site Library to be seen by all students, you will have to change the media setting from private to public.
Either the student or the instructor can edit the details of the video and make it "public" (viewable by all students).
To make media "Public", click on Details at the bottom of the thumbnail.
Checkmark "Public", then click Save.
To play the media, click the thumbnail and the media will be displayed in the media player on the left.
Note: When a student uploads media to the Site Library, the media is also available in the student's personal My Media space.
