How do I allow students to upload media to the Site Library?
By Default, students (or project site participants) cannot upload media content to either the Site Library or to a Collection.
Instructors or site Organizers can allow students (or project site participants) to upload media to the Site Library.
To allow students to upload media to the Site Library, click on Media Gallery in the left tool panel.
At the top of the Media Gallery tool, click on Permissions.
In the "Student" and "Student Non-Registered" column, checkmark "Allow user to upload content", then click Save.
This returns the display to the Media Gallery page.
Students now have an "Upload New Media" button for the Site Library (and a My Media tab).

Note; By default, when a student uploads media to the Site Library it is designated as "Private" The media cannot be seen by anyone except the individual student and the instructor. (See: "Student: How do I upload media to the Site Library?"). To allow other students to view the student uploaded media, either the student or the instructor has to edit the media details and make it "public" (See: "How do I make "private" media, "public"?")
