How do I allow an individual student to resubmit an Assignment?

Instructors can allow individual students to resubmit an assignment. There are two methods for allowing an individual student to resubmit an assignment.

  • Method 1: Allow resubmission on Grading page.
  • Method 2: Allow resubmission on Submission List page.

Go to Assignments.

Go to Assignments.

On the Assignment you want to let the student resubmit, click Grade.

On the Assignment you want to let the student resubmit, click Grade.

Note: If this is not a graded assignment, the link is named "View Submissions".

Method 1: - (Allow resubmission on Grading page) Below the student's name, click Grade

This displays the student's submission.

Checkmark Allow Resubmission.

Set the number of resubmissions allowed and the Accept Until date and time.

Note: The date and time you set for the resubmission will override the “Accept Until” date/time of the original assignment.

Click Save and Release to Student.

The Assignment must be released to the student for the student to be able to resubmit the assignment.

Method 2: (Allow resubmission on Submission List page) On the Submissions list page, click "Select users and allow resubmissions".

This method allows instructors to select multiple individual students and allow them to resubmit the assignment.

Note: The date and time you set for the resubmission will override the “Accept Until” date/time of the original assignment.
