What is the Web Content tool?
The Web Content tool allows instructors to create a button in the left tool panel that links to a web site or to a file or folder in Resources.
Example of a Web Content link to a website.
After clicking the Web Content Link, the display will depend on the type of link you created and what browser your are using.
If the URL that you linked to was an "http" link, the display (depending on your browser) will display, after 8 seconds, a message "Alert: This page seems to have trouble loading" along with a link to Re-launch the web page in a new window. Clicking on the "Re-launch" will open the website in a new window.
If the URL that you linked to was an "https" link, the display (depending on your browser) will display, in the window to the right of the tool panel.
Some browsers will always display a "Re-launch" page no matter if the link is "http" or "https".
