How do I embed an image on a Lessons page?

There are two methods Instructors can use to embed an image on a Lessons page:

  • Method 1: - Uploading an image file from their computer
  • Method 2: - Linking to an image file located somewhere on the Internet using the image's URL location.

Go to the Lessons page.

Go to the Lessons page.

Click on the Lessons Page Title (e.g. Unit #1) in the Tool Menu to display the page.

Method 1 (File upload): Click Add Content / Embed content on page

This displays the Embed Content dialog box.

Click Browse.

Click Browse.

This displays your computer's file locator dialogue box.

Locate and select the file on your computer, then click Open.

Locate and select the file on your computer, then click Open.

This returns the display to the Add Multimedia dialogue box with the image file name.

Click Save.

Click Save.

After saving, the Lessons page is displayed with the image embedded.

To add a description of the image, click Edit.

This displays the Edit Multimedia dialog box.

Add a description, adjust the width and height of the image if needed, then click Save.

This returns the display to the Lessons page with the image description displayed.

Notice the image file is automatically placed in Resource folder.

Note that the image file was automatically uploaded to your Resources in a folder with the same name as the Lessons page.

Method 2 (Linked image): Click Add Content / Embed content on page.

Enter (or paste) a URL, then click Save.

Note that a URL link to the image has been added to a sub-folder named "urls" located in the Lessons page named folder.
