Known Assignments Tool Issues:
1- Students can access closed Assignment attachments via link in Calendar tool
Issue: If an instructor selects "Add due date to Schedule" on an Assignment, and adds an attached file to the assignment, students can access the attached file via the Calendar tool even if the assignment is not open.
Workaround: If the assignment is not open, do not select "Add due date to Schedule" when adding an assignment with an attachment.
Status: Currently being investigated by vendor and Sakai foundation. (CLE-10720/SAK-25520)(ANI Sakai CLE 184.108.40.206)
2- Students get error when accessing auto-generated announcement for a closed assignment
Issue: If an instructor, when adding an assignment, selects “Add an announcement about the open date to Announcements”, and a student clicks on the link to the announcement on the site home page Announcements panel (and the assignment is not open yet) an error message is displayed “Error - An unexpected error has occurred. -Send a bug report” along with a large amount of bug report code.
Workaround: If the assignment is not open, do not select “Add an announcement about the open date to Announcements”.

3- Resubmission does not display "Browse" button when single file type is selected
Issue: Assignment tool does not allow resubmission when "single file" is selected. If the instructor checks resubmission after a student submits a file, the student sees a "Resubmit" button but no "Browse" button.
Workaround: None known
Status: Currently being investigated by vendor (ANI Support #10505) and Trunk developers (Trunk Jira #367)
4- Resource tool permission affects Assignment permissions.
Issue: If an instructor goes to Resources and unchecks the “Read” permission under Resources/Permissions, a student cannot submit a file for an assignment in the Assignment tool.
Workaround: None known (Do not edit the Resource tool permissions. if an instructor want to limit access to the resources area to managers, they can hide the tool (See: How do I reorder the tools menu?)
Status: Currently being investigated by vendor (ANI #11345)
5- When correcting inline assignment, problem when multiple browser Assignment tabs are open.
Issue: If an instructor goes to Assignments tool and looks at (or edits or provides feedback) a student's inline submission, and has another browser tab open to another student's submission, the first student's submission will replace the second student's submission when the instructor clicks "Next".
Workaround: When grading in the Assignment tool NEVER open a second browser tab of the Assignment tool.
Status: Know Sakai issue - no solution, other than not opening a second Assignment browser tab.
